Look up "schoolgirl outfit" in google images, or "red jumpsuit". No Britney in the first images.
Look up "asymmetrical leotard" and you get Single ladies in the first 5 images.
BUT, this not a poll about iconic outfits, even if it does contribute to the video.

Well I'm not sure which angle to take here. On one side, you say that costumes do not make a video iconic, but on the other hand, you're the one who first brought them up with the mention of Single Ladies.
Costumes do have a large impact on any music video, They are very carefully chosen to give a distinct feel to the video, and in the case of these three pop girls, costumes are a big part of their videographies. Their costumes are some of the things they are best known for.
But on the other hand, I agree that costumes do not make a video iconic alone. As important as they are, there are many other factors. The setting, the plot, the characters and many other elements in a music video all make them to be what they are. For any Britney video, there are innumerable factors that make them as memorable as they are.
-BOMT has countless components that add up to the iconic video it has become. The schoolgirl outfit. The pigtails. The school setting. The bell at the beginning. The hip-hop dancing in the schoolyard.
-Oops has many too. The setting on Mars, the outfits, the dancing. The moment where she is in white in the center of the star and her dancers. The middle moment where she and the astronaut speak back and forth is iconic in itself.
-Slave is iconic, not so much in the outfit, but in the overall video itself. The feel of dirt and grime seem to come from the video and envelop the viewer. The pure sexiness of the video and its focus only on dancing became what made Britney herself.
-Toxic speaks for itself. The costumes. The effects were ahead of their time. Just the little movements she does.
Single Ladies is iconic not only in it's costumes, but in it's simplicity, and the dancing. The simple costumes and the sparse set lead you to focus only on what is important; that being Beyonce and her dancing. She made leotards a trend with that video, and people were obsessed with the dance. People were amazed at its overt simplicity and underlying complexity, along with the fact that she did it in one take.
Bad Romance is not something I would consider iconic. I'd say it was a popular video and a hit song, but not much else. There is so much going on that it's hard to get a feel for the overall video. There are moments that stick out, such as the monster claw dancing, and the white jumpsuit with all of her dancers. But overall, the video has a very incoherent plot and is overall rather hard to follow and appreciate because it is obvious that Gaga tried to make the video all too much.
