This was pretty much expected. Ruben had like 0 promotion so I'm not surprised if that one tanks. Next week is going to be insane though between John Legend and word of mouth going around about "Save Room", plus MCR is just going to be huge. I'm expecting them to go 1-2, with MCR taking the top spot.
WEAKEND TOP TEN: Bad Boy/Atlantic’s Diddy goes into the weekend as next Tuesday’s chart leader with 170-180k for his Press Play album, his first solo effort in more than five years. Wind-up’s Evanescence continues strong at #2 with between 115-125k, followed by Capitol Nashville’s Dierks Bentley, bowing at #3, with between 95-100k. Universal Motown’s JoJo is headed for a Top 5 debut with a first week in the 90-95k range. The only other debut in the Top 10 is J’s Ruben Studdard with between 60-65k. The holdovers include last week’s chart topper, J’s Rod Stewart (85-90k), Jive/ZLG’s Justin Timberlake (80-85k), Universal Republic’s still-potent Hinder (75-80k) and Mailboat/SBMGN’s Jimmy Buffett (60-65k), with Columbia’s Tony Bennett and Island’s The Killers (55-60k) rounding out the list. Sony BMG could have five of next week’s Top 10 if form holds. Other Top 50 debuts include MCA Nashville country star Vince Gill’s box set (30-35k), Babygrande’s Hi-Tek (30-35k), Koch’s Xzibit (25-30k) and Columbia’s Frankie J (20-25k). (10/20p)
