I've never heard the entire thing, but from what I've heard it's NOT a dark album. Edgy, yes, but not dark.

Fun.
I can appreciate darker eras but they can get so overbearing and dreary. It's hard to go wrong when you're having fun.
And I'd call Can't Be Tamed more
joyless
rather than dark.

depends on the music. Dark and fun eras can each produce classic albums and ****** albums.

Dark era's are way more interesting imo.
To me TFM and BTW were both quite dark.

I can't think of a single "fun" pop album/ era that I enjoyed as a whole. Hate The Fame, Loud, Katy's discography...
I live for the heavier and darker material.
