I would stan for Rihanna if I had to because she effortlessly gets number 1 smash hits without last minute remixes, discount singles (TOTGA at $.69 for 2 months) and the fact that she would never release old leaked material and market it as new in order to continue a successful era.

rihanna. she is more original and she can do essentially any type of music and style.

she has always been my favorite because of this and i love her beauty and personality (and obviously music)

i've always liked her more than katy perry ... but i've lost a little respect for katy this year, making it easier.

anyways rihanna, hate to admit it but shes made some pretty good pop albums and is no where near as replaceable

katy, i mean rihanna has number 1's and some hit albums, but she doesnt really have talent, katy can write her own music and play instrument so if someone shades her for being generic i can always defend her by saying she that, but rihanna (as much as i love her) is very very hard to stan for. but im a fan of both.

Katy because her music&image&personality is better. But i love both.

Rihanna. Her music is really good, she has a fun personality, and she knows her place in the industry.

I can totally understand your point, but do you not think Rihanna (and management) sometimes make it obvious that they are just in it for the money - she doesn't want to be a role model and tries to release new albums every Autumn?

she made only girl 99 cents a long time after release (i think 3 months after). not even 69 cents ... like .. katy

for s&m, she made a respectable remix with a popular, well-known artist Britney Spears. she didn't pick off BOB or Missy Elliott off from the street and force them to make a dumb verse.

The Birthday Cake remix wasn't even made to boost the song ... it was made to show how the two feel about each other (Rihanna and Chris) that's why they did turn up the music too.

to the OP, i lost respect for her because of her image change and her trying to get unfair #1's incessantly. i wouldn't mind once.
