They weren't really big in the sense of album sales and radio plays [ at least i dont think.. ] they were pretty big with the whole Disney crowd actually. " Momma Mia " and " Dancing Queen " were played on there I know. They were here and there on Nickelodeon also. I dont remember any MTV or VH1 popularity though

They're not famous in the U.S., I only knew of their existence because MTV Mexico played it while I was on vacation a few years ago.

They were huge in Mexico, all of their singles went to #1 here i think.

One thing I loved about the A-Teens is that their music videos were some of the best I've ever seen. I guess they worked with some great directors.

Especially their ?last? video for "I Pomised Myself" which basically combined all their videos from the past and new footage.

In the Netherlands they were only successful as the "Abba Teens" and scored two big hits (Mamma Mia, Super Trouper). Everything after that either flopped or wasn't released.

I liked the Elvis cover of "Can't help falling in love" they did for the Lilo and Stitch movie as well. Then the rest of their stuff was just good-OK-forgettable pop. I'm not a fan of the original ABBA, but I accepted them. (I kind of had to anyways with the girl I was seeing at the time played them nn-stop)

The A*Teens were largely popular internationally, but they didn't go very far in the United States, only having "Dancing Queen" peaking #95 and "Upside Down" peaking @ #93. However, they did gain popularity more notably on the Disney Channel and Nickelodeon, where their videos were shown quite often, even having the theme song for "Lilo & Stich" in the cover of "Can't Help Falling In Love." I do believe though that in the modern downloading era, they would have achieved much more success with their singles, as seen through Disney's success this year. I would venture to say that their best success was in Sweden (their home country) and Mexico, where nearly all their singles went Top 10. I really did like the A*Teens back in the day and are still today a guilty pleasure for me.

Marie Serneholt is definately a fresh breathe of pure pop, hopefully she will revive the style of pop made popular by Britney Spears back in 2000 (with modern flair). IMO, she is more talented and beautiful than her Britney herself.

A*teens werent big in US, but they're popular in some parts of world, like Asia and Europe. They only enjoyed mid-success there too.
I loved them from the first time they covered "ABBA stuffs".
My fav track from them is Firefly, which is unreleased track. (recomended!! )

Just downloaded Dancing Queen for my first time ever, omg!! It took me how many years??? I never had this song on an cd or even my Ipod. I just didn't realize I never had it. So I finally do have this song now. Reminds me of Ice Cube's "You Can Do It", which I just downloaded for the first time also.
