Alright, going!

This collaboration receives the benefit of the doubt for actually being able to hear Taylor. Singing lead in this is another faceless alternative rock band, I think their name is Good Charlotte or Simple Plan or something. Okay, I’m just kidding on that part, I know it’s Boys Like Girls and I ****ing love The Great Escape. The song itself is alright but it never really goes anywhere. Taylor really needs to step up her game with these collaborations.

I LOVE THIS SONG

I see you envious bitches are jealous that this is the only song in the rate to hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Serving as a testament to the power that American Idol once had, Inside Your Heaven debuted at number one and stayed there for one week. After hearing Bo Bice’s version of the song, I can’t help but appreciate what Carrie did with it more. She’s come along way both vocally and artistically since then but it’s always nice to remember how it all started (and to get into that high note in the last chorus).

This one hurt, but I can see why ya'll weren't here for it.

The first song that I am truly sad to see go. I remember hearing it years ago and not thinking too much about it. With time I came to appreciate it more and more. It has a certain bittersweet feeling to it that makes it really special. On one end it’s just a cute, simple song but on the other it’s an ode to the childhood promises and dreams that none of us kept. Most of us are still young so it’s a bit ridiculous to get all nostalgic and talk about the good old days. Still, every time I hear this song I can’t help but think back.

Let’s talks about the only reason this song wasn’t among the first five to go. The reason starts at 2:37. This was what set it apart from being another Today Was a Fairytale. Another thing that sets it apart is that it was the soundtrack for a movie that didn’t suck. Speaking of which, Amy Adams was robbed of an Oscar nom for that role. Bitch nailed it. Cate Blanchett (whom I love) didn’t deserve **** for that mediocre performance.

Not Ever Ever After

When I first heard this song I thought it was Ashlee Simpon’s comeback single. I definitely consider this to be one of Taylor’s weakest singles and I feel like Should’ve Said No does a much better job at tackling a similar subject and sound. I’m watching the video right now and I am just now remembering how great she looked in it. Also, almost every time I try to listen to the song on youtube its comments are always filled with debates about how she uses the word “gay” in it.

I think I kinda liked that, but I'm not too bent up about it going out now.

Is this the biggest flop single in the rate? From what I understand, this song was a dual release, being sent to pop radio while Jesus Take The Wheel went to country radio. It’s pretty obvious which came out on top. I don’t really understand why it did so poorly, I’m guessing it was because everyone viewed Carrie as a country star and thus she didn’t get much pop support. Anyways, it’s a shame because I really enjoyed this song, Carrie sounds great on it. I actually guessed right away that Diane Warren wrote it.
