I ****ing hate looking for jobs. I have a year off before PhD and I've only gotten one interview (that I didn't get due to lack of experience) since I started submitting applications in late March.

If I don't get an interview, it's because of experience. If I don't get a job, it's because of experience. Apparently, being 23 with a Masters degree is useless unless I have that same degree and am 40 years old with a **** load of life experience. One hirer even indicated he wanted me to have more experience even though its ironic considering I would need his job to gain the experience needed. He said he "appreciated the dilemma". FML.
