Inspired by that "Have you ever hit your parents?" thread, have you ever hurt them emotionally?
I remember my mom was being a bitter bitch so I went OFF and instead of getting mad she cried
and I was just like at myself for weeks.
Yes. I wouldn't call her actions being a "bitter bitch" but I did go off on her. I told her I was disgusted with her. It got quiet after that but I could hear her slightly crying and she told my sister that what I said "still hurt". She thought I was still mad at her for two days. After some time to myself I called her and said what I guess was my own way of 'I'm Sorry'. It still kinda doesn't set right with me that I said what I did.
I think the worst time was when I was being disrespectful towards my a mum and she pulled out the standard mum emotional blackmail line "I carried you for 9 months" to which I responded "I wish you saved yourself the effort and aborted me"....my mum didn't even look at me in the eye for weeks.
But in my defense I do hate the "9 months" line because its not as if we ask to be born, it was entirely their decisions to get knocked up!

That happens with me a lot.
They seem so bitchy and arrogant, but they get fragile and sensitive all of a sudden.
One time I lied to my mother about something really major and she was really disappointed in me. She was quiet for several weeks and even now I don't think she trusts me as much as she used to. I still feel really bad about it because she felt offended that I didn't feel safe enough to tell her in confidence.
She seemed hurt, like she had realised we weren't as close as she thought we were.
Yes. I remember when I was 9 y/o I skipped school and I went to the mall with a friend. My mom went to the school that day and she was looking for me to give me some money and she realized I wasn't there. When I got home, she was crying so hard and was so worried.
at myself for weeks.
But as soon as I see that he/she's really hurt I apologize ASAP. I can't deal with my parents being sad or disappointed. 
I still feel really bad about it because she felt offended that I didn't feel safe enough to tell her in confidence.
