I wonder how this will work? There are only 8 contestants. There are 5 audience tapings (before the show airs), that are 4 hours long. The show's host, Quddus tweeted someone and said the last 4 shows will be live.

Yeah I don't think she'll have to eliminate anyone yet. Maybe it will be a cumulative thing and the final four shows will be eliminating people with viewer participation. Maybe the judges have some say but the public has some as well? There's only 8 contestants, right? It would be weird to kick someone off so soon into the show with only 8. I don't know though, obviously. lol

It might be... in 6 months. If I'm not mistaken, it will be the first 3 million single for RCA since Kesha's "We R Who We R" Gavin's single was certified last March after it was released last June 2011... RCA has a lot of mainstream artists (Xtina, Britney, Kesha, Usher) so they have a lot in their plate, though Interscope has more mainstream artists and still all their artists were more updated with their certification awards.
