In a perfect, Gotye and fun.-free summer - and one where a song by a scorned fat girl doesn't define this one like it did last - these are the three contenders for the song of the summer, stateside (USA.)

Let's look at each:
"Where Have You Been" is already off to a great start, given the hella-hyped video and her star () power, but does it have enough steam in it to DEFINE the warmer months? Or has the YDO-TTT-BC trifecta two pieced it out the game?

"Big Hoops" is nowhere to be found atm, whether it be on radio/iTunes, but will a Billboard Awards performance slot get the ball rolling for this?

And finally, "Primadonna." Will the Diamonds hatch a plan to get this spins on radio under the guise of a Katy Perry alter ego or will Electra Heart/Bubblegum Bitch/Polly Pocket stiff in the U.S.?
