But I didn't ask who was the better performer, I asked who was the better entertainer?
Entertainment includes much more than just performances. The controversy. The personality. Etc.
Madonna is among the most fascinating women is history and she clearly IS the most entertaining female when it comes to pop culture. Even if you're a hater you just can't deny her ability to remain relevant over the years.
I find Beyonce to be insanely overrated and she is what i call the ultimate manufactured artist. While she has talent to pull it off i don't feel any authenticity from her. Her personality is dry and predictable and, like it or not, that's the key on being an good "entertainer", it gets you far in this industry. Almost as far as actually singing on key and dancing on beat but she comes off as a robot in interviews... her personality does seem like a blank slate.
Her "good girl" image does resonate with American audience more and that's why she never had the kind of international appeal Madonna has.
