World Trade Center 1 will be completed in 2013. The surrounding park and museum should be completed by 9/11/2012.

Once again, this is WTC 1. It is not named Freedom Tower, nor do any New Yorkers refer to it by that name.

Well, they did have to do a lot of cleaning up. First they have to be careful when taking out the debris from the site since bodies could still be buried beneath those rubles. Second they also have to make sure that the seawall won't give in or else it's going to turn into a huge pool (the site next to the WTC is just a reclaimed land.) There was also the case of redesigning the tower.


Yeah, I thought it looks really symbolic. I believe I read it on the Lower Manhattan site that it was inspired by a bird taking flight. Though the design is not quite unique since it's quite identical to his other works like Gare de Lyon Saint-Exupéry and Milwaukee Art Museum.

And who are they to take **** from us? They should have rebuilt the towers taller and stronger to show how strong america is, we don't let terrorists changes us.

If you're talking about whether it was built on top of where one of the towers once stood, then no. The footprints of both the twin towers were made into a memorial site.
