Seeing what's happening to the original thread, I think it's much better that we compile a official group that will review the albums.
Let's be honest, the original thread is basically going to turn out as a "which artist do I hate or love" kind of thread.
I think it's best that we have a official group which can be renewed once a month or something like that.
Let's have a official sign up now and together we can do some kind of background check to make sure they won't troll when it comes down to actually reviewing the albums.
I don't think starting two versions is the way to go, but I do agree we should change the official thread up a bit. Make a more concrete/reasonable set of rules. It just needs a few tweaks, that's all.
And perhaps we should establish an actual critics panel. A set of regulars who's votes count extra or something like that. We could do "critics scores" and "user scores" to see how the group of critics compares to the average ATRLer.

Not everyone is professional, thats the point, its ATRL'S METACRITIC its not meant to give an accurate representation outside of the site, it's how the average user feels about the album. Trying to change into something that its not and giving certain people more power over others is exactly what its NOT meant to be?
It's just two members who don't know how to suck it up. I don't dislike Nicki but that album deserved a low score in my opinion, I was nice enough to bring up the low score I gave her.
