its a catchy song. it basically sounds just like everything else on the radio.
usher knows r&b isn't dominating radio waves like it used to so he just is accomodating to the market trends at the expense of skimping on his r&b slow jams. usher's slow jams and r&b songs are what made him and his most highly successful album-confessions-was all r&b.
how this song counts as ''revolutionary pop'' i don't know. at least climax sounds sonically edgy and different but this song ''scream'' is as generic as he can get.

He released this song because he needs something to dance to when he performs in "The Today's show". Trust me he has more slow jams

When he goes all Rnb people call him boring, when he does catchy dance songs people call him generic, he can't win.

I don't care what everyone say, I worship Climax but mixing sounds is a win -win for me with Usher.

I love his club songs, I love his R&B songs, pop, everything the guy sings hits me hard so **** hell, he can do country if he wants and I'd still love it!

Beside, hitting as much audiance and generes with singles is always good for sales.

I prefer the verses to the chorus. Still not really on board for this type of song for him, it just seems lazy. If he's going to do dance pop, I just think he could do something more creative.

I think the same with Nicki Minaj , Rihanna and Chrs Brown.
Don't matter if it's dance, r&b, urban, I'll ****ing love it (at least 99% ).
