In primadonna she's playing "The beauty queen."
Her life is shallow and empty. On the outside she's glamorous and beautiful, but she's just a vacuous shell of a person.
The void in which she speaks is something lacking in her life. She doesn't know what it is.
Because she is a person of no real substance, the only thing that is important to her are superficial things, not things like family, love, relationships, education, etc.
So, she will "fill the void up with celluloid".
Celluloid is the substance that used to me used (I dont think its used anymore? could be wrong?) in the in a roll of film to produce movies and photographs.
She will try to find fulfillment through being photographed/recorded... by being immortalized on film, but it will never work because that's not what she's missing.
