You may not know the name Eric Bellinger, but you’re most likely familiar with his music. As a renowned songwriter, he’s crafted recent hits, including Usher’s new banger “Climax” and Jennifer Hudson’s “Think Like a Man.”

But even with his singing career just taking off, Bellinger hasn’t forgotten about his bread and butter. In an exclusive interview with BET.com, he revealed he also wrote Usher’s brand-new single “Let Me See.” “I’m definitely excited about [it],” he says of the song, which is slated to drop within days. “Rick Ross is featured on there; Jim Johnson produced it. It’s really going to live in the clubs for a long time.”

With his songwriting on “Climax” and “Let Me See” leading the way, Bellinger is ecstatic about Usher’s new album, Looking for Myself, which is scheduled for a June 12 release. “With this next album, he’s about to change everybody’s perspective on music,” he says. “Honestly, [he's] birthing a whole new sound. The Usher that everyone loves is coming back, [but] it’s like he’s hungrier than ever. From concepts to his vocals to the performance, each song is a movie in itself. You definitely have a lot to look forward to.”

Bellinger said that he and Usher have amazing chemistry, noting that he’s been a huge fan and student of the superstar’s music for years. “From the first day we actually worked, it’s just been incredible,” Bellinger said. “I don’t know how we hit it off so well. I’ve been looking at him as a R&B singer and studying his music for so long that I was already in his world when it came to melody, and I already had put my mindset where he would come [in terms of] different tones and adlibs and concepts. It was easier for us to be on the same page because I’ve been studying him for so long… I’m sure he appreciated it and was able to see it instantly.”

Well "Climax" was actually different, so I'ma have to see if that statement is true.

Wait and see before judging geesh

Well anytime I hear a quote like:

... all I get is GaGa/BTW and Beyonce/4 teas about making some completely revolutionary album and I'm not here for this kind of hype. If an album is going to do that, it's going to do it all on its own without the need for hype. So yeah, we'll see, Ursh.

I hope "Scream" is a bonus track, like "More".

Artists need to stop making statements like these and let the music speak for itself.

Climax was game changing it doesn't sound like anything else on the radio. If you say otherwise you are delusionnal. Even rolling stone mag gave the song 4 stars...

'Climax' is definitely an experimental sound. I'll wait to hear 'Scream' in full & of course the whole album to see if I agree. From the list of producers on board, anything is possible.

This time we already heard one of the tracks and it is really new and different...

Are you for real? Combining RnB with Dubstep and other elements as seamlessly as he did in "Climax" was innovative and gamechanging. Particularly considering most RnB singers are either stuck in the past, stuck in a small niche, singing the same three themes or just selling out to pop.

I really don't understand ATRL sometimes. Half the people here seem to constantly paint Usher as some untalented, crap singer. It's bizarre.

I didn't say Usher said it. I was talking about Eric and I was more or less summarizing brandnewdrew's post. The songwriter is also an artist and he has credit on Usher's music. Besides, Usher has made statements like this about the music. Like I said, let the music speak for itself.

i usually hate it when artists say **** like this but Climax really shook things up and is one of his best songs in a while so there could actually be some truth to this.
