Some girl on a fan forum works for MTV and here's what she wrote:
Hey Guys, so as you are all aware, I work at MTV studios, and it is always my pleasure to give you guys the scoop on what's going on. Well, tonight I come bearing a GREAT gift. MTV studios is in the works of having their first annual Pop Music Hall of Fame concert ceremony. The inductees are as follows: Christina Aguilera, Destiny's Child,Beyonce, Kelly Clarkson, NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, Mandy Moore, Jojo, P!NK, Chris Brown, Neyo, Omarion, Bow Wow, Jessica Simpson,Ashlee Simpson, Avril Lavinge, Madonna, Janet Jackson, nice list, don't ya think?
Okay, but there's more. The special treat is that they are going to officially crown a new Queen and King of pop, and the two individuals who are up for the title are : Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears. How Awesome! MTV is in works of heavy promotion for this project, photoshoots out the ass of all the artists including " special" shoots of just Justin and Britney. Mmm, they already have cute concepts. We are now talking with each artist's reps to see if they're schedule conflicts, etc. But as far as we know, everything is good. BTW, we are set to air this special occasion in April 2007. Congrats Justin and Britney!!

Last time I checked, Madonna and Micheal Jackson were not dead and neither did they retire. Justin and Britney's portfolio wouldn't fit in a shoebox of MJ and Madonna's closet.

Even if they want to crown Britney, then why suddenley now?
If they would have decided that at the end of 2004 I would have understood, but since then she's lost a lot of her status.

Interesting idea, but it's too much information to give away at one time!
I'm fans of both JoJo and Chris Brown, but why the heck are they on the list? Congrats, they're young and talented. But they're far away from being truly experienced and legends. Simpson sisters don't belong there either.
The most deserving member of that list would have to be Xtina.

Nah, I won't. Sorry. In order to be consider a queen, you can't constantly rip off of somebody else. Britney is nothing but a younger Madonna. Same for king. Justin does nothing but rip off other people.
