Train your ears, and you will know which one is QUALITY music, and which one is pure trash. And I'm worried you don't understand the actual meaning of hipsters.

Basically. I need Robert Plant to put out an album like Raising Sand now, with Alison Krauss again or Patti Griffin Idc. So my attention would be distracted.

Oh really? Maybe you should stop being pretentious for once and stop comin at Taylor for doing pop music. It's not going to harm her career in one day. And if she loves doing it, then she should do it.

I'm cool with her doing some pop music. Hell I've said it many times that I do like pop. Lykke Li is an example. Just not dance/pop, trashy-pop, and bubblegum-music. In general, songs that abuse sex lyrics & crazy-frog type of beats or repetitive ********s with faux-uplifting lyrics that is too sweet that could give you diabetes. I'll support her pop music, as long as it's good. Madonna's "Ray of Light" is good. Britney Spears is pure bubblegum-crap. You can like something and still able to give an objective opinion.

I see where you're coming from. I just think you guys make a big deal out of her doing something so small. I don't think the collab with B.o.B. and Bieber will harm her career. Now doing a whole album full of pop music ala Katy Perry will probably harm her career and alienate her fanbase. Nicki-Minaj-teas anyone?

Those ***** already hurt her cred in alternative music world. Many folks are calling her out for being a sell-out. Especially after the great ***** she has promised with S&S. You see pop-kids don't like it, but alternative audience LOVES it. Again, I bet Bieber will never has the longevity of Oak Ridge Boys or The Chieftains. I'm 100% sure about it.
Pretty sure she won't make a full-pop album. Since I remember that in '08 she stated that she hoped one day, after she's big 'old' enough, and her youngish audience has grown up, she will put an alt-country album, and may stay at that genre. Ala Ryan Adams. One step closer with her following the footsteps of the great Joni Mitchell. And I don't want small charcoals like Bieber get on her way to that legendary status.
I think you should have learned it after the longevity of Safe & Sound and Eyes Open have shown at iTunes & Spotify. Those music junkies are starting to support her. Music Junkies support is the best. Since they will support you for a long time. Unlike the very fickle pop audience.

Well, she could win them again with this up coming album. I mean if they like her after TWAFT and Mine. I'm pretty sure they could write it off, hopefully.
And yeah, I could see they're supporting with S&S and Eyes Open. I should know the pop audience is fickle. The amount of teen popstars we gone through over the years and the many that were left behind. Hilary Duff, Miley Cyrus and Jonas Brothers.
And I hope I didn't offend you by calling you pretentious and drama queen.

Not really.TWAFT & Mine were fully supported by those pop & mainstream audience with pedestrian taste in music.
Now I hope you've learned the pattern. If you stay with pop and playing with the mainstream only, you will only stay for five years. But if you stay with the alternative audience, music junkies, and general public, your career could last at least 20 or 30 years. 50 if you can keep putting masterpiece after masterpiece (See: ORB, Dylan, Chieftains, Robert Plant).
And nope, too many pop kids call me out like that while I just serve the facts. Nbd. At the end they will realize who is right.

I think it's okay, even Mariah Carey did collaboration with Justin, just to keep her teenage fans, while her 4th album is getting mature
The collabration has happened, now let's hope that song make new record, 700k in its first week?

Taylor was a big joke back in the days, early '10 to be exact.
Beysus re-invented herself, after the oh-so-cool Destiny Child. Now if you keep the same format throughout your career without changing things a little every now and then, you can say goodbye to it.
And yeah. Not just you tbh, other pop-kids too.

As long as it's not the pits. Hopefully it's not.
Album #4 opening week? Calling 650k. Hopefully it will stay at the top for multiple weeks, ala 21.

No. I meant she has no spark or charisma (maybe onstage) when it comes to interviews. I was watching a few of her interviews and she's not the most eloquent. Neither is Rihanna or Nicki, but they're semi-interesting with their interviews. (back then; not now. Since yeah )
and Oh, I see.

Now sis, why does personality matters to you? Are you a fan of the music, or the person? Tbh, I don't care about who is more interesting than who, since I'm fan of the music. And good to see you finally understand my game. Fun right?
