VH1 has had its share of recent reality hits featuring the word “wives” in the title (eg, Mob Wives, Basketball Wives, and Baseball Wives), so is Motor City Wives next? According to Michigan-based blogger, AllAboutTRH, yes! VH1 is green-lighting the Motor City Wives of Detroit. Eminem’s ex-wife Kim Mathers is rumored to be starring in addition to a few other famous faces.
Making the Band season 2 cast member Sara Stokes is also involved, according to AllAboutTRH and supported by the Twitter page of @Sara_Stokes. A few months ago, there were rumors that Flavor of Love contestant/”winner” Deelishis was also being featured on Motor City Wives, but there hasn’t been much chatter on that lately. Valencia R. Williams, best-selling author of The Hottest Summer Ever Known, is the creator of Motor City Wives.
If VH1 does pick up Motor City Wives with Kim Mathers, this would also fit VH1′s current trend of casting celebrity’s ex-wives. VH1 has already ordered Hollywood Exes, starring Mayte Garcia (Prince’s ex-wife), Nicole Murphy (formerly Mrs. Eddie Murphy), and the ex Mrs. Jose Canseco, Jessica Canseco. VH1 might have have found the logical next step in reality TV “housewives” programming: famous or famous by association wives, mothers, girlfriends, or exes. Hey, the “celebrity” rebranding of The Apprentice worked for Donald Trump.
Note: Flavor of love 2 winner Deelishis has already addressed that she won't be on the show
