Do you realle think that Back to basic will be back to sell?
I mean...lets just see Nelly's Furtado chart performance... her album debuted at 1, fell 56%, then 15% - 30% and 19%[120%] even with a number 1 single in the country...
Xtina fallin is like this:62%-27%-35%-26%[150%]..imagine that xtina album will perform as the same that nelly's album... her sales would be like this
20 -34899[-24%]
25 -31060[-11%]
40 -24848{-20%]
39 -21867[-12%]
45 -18149[-17%]
43 -18149[0%]
OUT of the top 50 -16153 [-11%]
i think she wont be at the top 50 in xmas sales and she will totally miss the hyper massive sales.. obviously she will be in the top 100, sellin a little more than 1 million this year, and even with grammys boost, she wont be able to back to the top 50.. maybe with a re-release, hopefully xtina will be lucky if b2b can manage at least 2 million albums

It really depends on the Singles from now on I think. Nelly's sales will pick up because of "Maneater", but with "Hurt", I dunno.

Yes Marc, as usual, you hit it on the nose. Hurt is doing nothing at radio. There is no buzz around her at all. B2B will sell only 4 Million worldwide. B2B is a flop.

Im sorry to say...she is not gonna go anywhere with Hurt as the 2nd single. I feel sorry that this era is being messed up.

Hurt is the worst choice to ever be a single, its like the worst on the album and its her worst single to date, it wont help her sales that much either. Before I was saying that when her second single comes out, her sales will be fine but obviously they arent helping at all, so at most I see 1.5 million copies sold.
Candyman should'ave been the 2nd single

Hurt is the best song on the album and it will help B2B a lot. Candyman is sooo cliche and it would have ended the era right away. Thankfully RCA told Christina what a stupid choice Candyman would be.

I don't think so. I think Christina's gonna flop, as usual. I'm sorry.

Well to be completely honest...she did it to herself. AINT NO OTHER MAN is a great song and to me the perfect first cd for a project like this. It was a hit but then came news of a double cd. Tradionally, double cds have not done well in the past due to the pricing that hits the album after its on sale for the first week to garner sales. It was either her idea or her labels idea to make two double cds because
A. So she makes more money off of doing 2 10 song cds (doubling her earnings)
B. So the album can get double certified no matter how badly it does (the label and her playing it safe in case the album tanks because its jazz influenced)
C. She truly wanted to do two cds because she had a lot of material to release.
BUT....
Her double disc set could EASILY have become one cd. The fact that it was split was one of the worst decisions she has ever made. Not only are critics bashing the idea due to one cd being better than other...her fans also have to agree.
Now she is releasing HURT next. I love that song but this is easily her worst decision to date. The song isn't radio friendly or even suitable to be a single. Its kind of like IM OK and should have stayed personal on the album. Its a pretty bland song that has not much to offer. Definately not a song you would pick up the album for which is gonna cost this album BIG TIME.
Though I feel this will be her worst seller to date, she still has a chance to save the album with UNDERSTAND, SLOW DOWN BABY, or STILL DIRRTY. But knowing her she will release BACK IN THE DAY , MAKES ME WANNA PRAY and then CANDYMAN to finish the album off at like 1.5 million albums sold.

I think singles wise the, the album is lacking, but who knows. One minute it could fall out of the top 50 and then come back in the top 10 within weeks (Nickleback).

Release Still Dirrty, that will save her album. I agree with what Froggert said. Hurt is not a radio single. It's a great single, but I don't see any stations playing this. Her cd will keep dropping sales until a good single is released.

too much drama around. even with Hurt, her sales will be steady.
I remember everyone saying the same thing back in 2003 with stripped. That album was steady and for 14 weeks it sold 30k, during the times Fighter was released, wich didn't become a huge hit, just a moderate one.
She's Christina Aguilera, and even if Hurt flops (which I'm sure it won't) she still has Understand and Slow Down Baby, wich would "save" the album and push it past 2.5-3 million which is my final prediction. The album WILL BE IN THE TOP30 during christmas and then we have the grammy's, which will embrace the album for sure. That will bost the sales and by then it could easily be qaround 1.5-2 million.-
Sure the double cd thing was a bad decision, but the album won't flop. That's for sure.
It's sad to see people really wanting this album to flop.

Stripped did it better , fell -51%, -29%,,-10%,+66% ..and that was with a floppy single such Dirrty... Back to basics is underperfoiming...maybe she will sell sellinng 15K per week... which is not that fra from my prediction

That's because Stripped was released later in the year and the 66% gain was thanks to the Thanksgiving weekend. Also, Hurt won't officially go to radio until October, so how can you claim it's doing nothing?

How about some you stop making ridiculous assumptions and actually take a look at how good "Hurt" is already doing at radio?
