Christina, Beyonce, Janet or Justin? who will have the biggest year?
Christina turned to the scene afer a big hiatius with her hit single 'Aint No Other Man' which scored her another top ten hit! Her album 'Back To Basics' debuted at # 1 on the Billboard 200 with over 355,000 copies.
Beyonce is definitely the 'it' girl right now. Her single 'Deja Vu' featuring Jay-Z has peaked at # 4 on the Billboard 100 and Ring The Alarm is on its way to becoming another top ten hit! Her highly anticipated album B'day had big first week sales of 541,000 copies which made her debut at # 1. She makes her fourth acting appearance this December with Dreamgirls which is already getting lots of Buzz.
Justin stormed back on the scene with SexyBack which went to #1 on the Billboard 100. His album 'Future Love Sex Sound' debuted at # 1 with 684,000 copies, making it his first #1 album as a solo artist. He is still # 1 on TRL after being on for 31 days. He is getting a lot of love from the pop and r&b crowd.
Janet single 'Call On Me' featuring Nelly is the # 1 Song on the R&b charts. She has also been gracing a lot of magazine covers looking better than ever with her new improved body. Damita Jo was a huge flop but can she redeem herself. She hasnt been promoting a lot but can she prove everyone wrong?

Justin will definetly take this year.
Christina has a good chance at it too.
I don't see Beyonce living up to what Justin and Christina is doing, but not that far behind...
Janet, well, she's a different story. We'll have to wait for her album to come out and see how well So Excited does on the radio. From this moment, I say she will flop, but Janet fans might make her big again. Call on Me, isn't doing much.

Beyonce i think will fizzle out pretty soon if she keeps releasing these singles too quickly & some people dont even know Janet has an album coming out so that cant be a good thing

Janet is getting good reviews so she might make it....plus the album is full of good tracks so she just has to release them and boom.....but this year is Justins....that album is also pretty good.

Justin is doing really good. Sexyback went #1 and My Love will probably too. He has a nice chance of having a very succesful era.
Xtina is doing ok and Hurt wont help.
Janet will do well off of initial hype, but will probably go down.
Bee did well and none of her singles (DV and RTA) will do massive(DV already proved that). But with Dreamgirls/Irreplaceable...I see she will shine extra bright at the end of the year goin into to 2007.

None of them, this is most def. not a year that anyone generally ruled. It's not like 2003 with 50 cent, 2004 with Usher, 2005 with Mariah, this year is like everyone trying to come out at the same time, no one is doing that much better than anyone. No one is undenieably(sc) on top except for Justin, and that was expected.

I believe Justin and Janet will have the biggest year. Here's my reasoning:
Justin:
SexyBack is #1 on almost every chart. His first week sales were outstanding, and he is probably apt to do more promotion and a tour. He will get Grammy nominations for sure and may even win a couple. His album shows a more adult side. He will do very well.
Janet:
Bottom Line - She has been blacklisted by MTV and Clear Communications Radio. Oddly enough, Call on Me was a #1 R&B Hit, and she is getting great reviews from US Weekly and People. She will be doing major performances and she starts touring in March. I have to say she is one of the best female performers of all time. GET READY!

Justin since he already has a number 1 single, a number 1 album and out sold Xtina and Beyonce in just 1 week, also cause is the only one who has a solid second single such as "my love" which is gonna hit the top spot as soon Sexyback lose its spark
People who thinks that Xtina is gonns had the biggest year is suck a blind...first, even with all the buzz of her comeback, she coulnd' manage a top 5 single, her album even though sold a little more than her last production, its fallin' fast from the charts, even if the album was released in August, and speacially because august and Semptember are lazy months in music charts, her album needed to stay at least in top 5 [Just see American Idiot album which debuted in the same month] so since it releasing , the album keep fallin and faliin... even with a VMA performance , were her second single was performed, she coulnd't manage a boost in her sales... you can see also her fallin in Uk chart... were the album keep fallin week after week and losing almost Latin Market since her album couldnt debut in the top 5 of the most important markets in latin america and Forgot Asia...she never was big in Asia
Beyonce its almost in the same situation that xtina, her album is fallin hard and more with an bad album like B'day who i can say there are just two song that are hits...the rest are filler
and Janet.. oh janet.. her album is like a ghost, her first single was born died
so i expect their album sold like this

Timberlake is #1, UNFORTUNATELY. Christina and then Beyonce close behind. Then Janet rounds it out.

quality: it is evident that Christina Aguilera has the best album. People who are not able to see that as an evidence just have bad tastes. But that happens also. So i can live with that.

Definately Justin Timberlake or Christina Aguilera. We will definately see with the 2nd single and Justin's 2nd week sales, as I see those two being the most consistent. Beyonce will come in a close third, but her sales dropped drastically last week and "Ring The Alarm" is going nowhere. Janet Jackson is just going to be decent this year, but nothing compared to the first three.
