Okay, when I first did my rates, I gave myself a limit of ten 10s, but I had to add an 11th after having an epiphany. This is the 11th 10. This song is progressive country all the way. That "the world just goes away" part before the chorus is so breathtaking and different (was this really made in 2002?!?). That part in itself is a 10. The song was only released in Europe & Australia. It reached #4 in Portugal (random!) and #21 in the UK. It also reached #60 on the US Country chart even though it wasn't released in America!
Ugh, another awesome Up! song is leaving us. I can't take it. This is one of the saddest songs that Shania has written. I mean, "My dreams only die when I'm dreaming" is such a sad lyric, isn't it? Musically, this song is pretty similar to "You're Still the One" for me, but the content is obviously very different. This was the last single from Up! and got to #18 on the US Country chart and #4 on the Canadian pop chart. This song tied with "When You Kiss Me", but this song has more 10s, so it places higher. Notice how the same four people gave 10s to both songs, but Mikal's additional 10 helped push IOHWIB over WYKM.
Oh my gosh, two of my favorites from Up!... leaving... in a row /emotional breakdown
It Only Hurts When I'm Breathing is the only heartbreak song on Up! and it's perfection, and When You Kiss Me has the most amazing video and the production is flawless
"Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under" was the debut of the new Shania since it was the first single off her second album, The Woman in Me. This song is pretty cute/adorable and a lot of fun. It's nice to see a woman be so direct in calling out her man for his cheating ways. "So next time you're lonely, don't call on me. Call the operator, maybe she'll be free." Ha! The title is just too damn catchy, also. "Whose Been Have Your Boots Been Under" - rolls right off the tongue. The song was Shania's first hit, reaching #11 on the US country chart and #1 on the Canadian country chart. It was also Twain's first gold single.
