That method is now defunct. It no longer works. Nelly Furtado & Justin Timberlake didn't make it to #1 recently just because Timbaland's rhymes were so just clever (they weren't, sorry Timbo). The Urban era is over, finally.

Most rappers are/were inspired by Queen beats. They had the best beats as far as I'm concerned.

I've listened to my fair share and I've been disappointed with Jamelia and Craig David just to name a few. Main reason y I can't get into alot of British R&B or Pop.

Jamelia & Craig David are just generic acts that are already fading. You haven't been bitten by the "Suga-bug" yet. Be patient and your time will come!

To be completely fair Brian, Christina Aguilera and the likes of Britney Spears and Jessica Simpson are in a class of their own, while Rihanna had Jay-Z. Natasha Bedingfield seems to be very lucky and she hasn't done much after "Unwritten." I believe wut Mazen is trying to say is that having a rapper helps boost the success rate, which is very true in America (very annoying too). I don't exactly think the urban era is over. Pop seems to be gaining back some ground though.

Anyways, someone wanna introduce me to Jamelia...? I don't much about her, but I have heard "Super Star."

Jamelia is a british R&B/Pop singer. Superstar was her biggest hit with it goin to #1 in Australia. My favorite song from her sophomore, Thank You, "See It In a Boys' Eyes" (produced by Chris Martin of Coldplay) was her biggest hit in the UK.
