I kinda get that he's trying to say that Gaga's equality advocacy has somehow induced people into accepting stuff that comes from underground/indie sources whether it's a movement or a genre.
But I don't think the GP reads that much into it, they (as they always have) are just listening to those songs because the radio picked up on them (maybe they were tired of the Electro/Pop wave).
To say that Gaga spearheaded the Electro/Pop/Club wave would be much more accurate than saying she did so for a few "Indie" songs becoming mainstream.
But overall, DJ Louie XIV (
) has not based his statement on actual facts and it's forcing it. Not a convenient way to portray Gaga, tbh. I hope this article doesn't get any widespread distribution 'cause it would cause her far more bad than good.
