It's because of radio play most likely I used to think that the ppl who I heard on the radio were all massively successful and that turns out to be not always true. Gaga doesn't get played too much on the radio now so I can see why that perception is there.

I heard her a LOT during her TF era. And I mean a LOOOT she was being played more than Katy Perry But after TFM it died down a little and BTW era... you know how that went.
