As some of you might have seen I spent last year compiling lists of my favorite songs from 2004, which for me was one of the best (if not the best) years in music of the whole 00s decade. I really wanted to share the final result in this thread so I'll be posting sets of 20 songs with every update of my weekly countdown. If you wanna leave your comments they're appreaciated =).

RECAP

	10 Evanescence "Everybody's Fool" A very deep song. I remember I used to listen to it everytime I felt down. The video has a strong message and it's definitely one of their best.		09 Howie Day - "Collide" My favorite song by a solo male artist this year. Howie is very underrated, he's a very talented song writter. I could never get tired of this song.
	08 Alicia Keys "If I Ain't Got You" Before 2009 I barely cared about Alicia's music. If I Ain't Got You is more than just her signature song, it's a hidden gem.		07 Blink 182 - "I Miss You" My favorite song by them. You would never expect a song like this from a punk band like Blink 182. Easily one of the best ballads of the decade.
	06 Avril Lavigne "My Happy Ending" For a long time I thought this song was overrated. Never been so wrong, it's indeed one of Avril's best efforts and probably the best single from UMS.		05 Keane "Somewhere Only We Know" The guitarless band makes their highest appearance with one of the most soothing and wonderful ballads I've ever listened to. This song is simply timeless.
	04 No Doubt - "It's My Life" If this was No Doubt's last single I'm really not surprised to know that everybody's excited for their comeback. Epic video + terrific vocals = smash.		03 Hilary Duff - "Come Clean" I wasn't sure if this song actually deserved to be top 3. Back in 2004 I was literally obsessed with her, I owned every single thing with her face on it. Now I'm like 'WTF was I thinking' but anyway this goes in praise of the delusional teenager I once was.
	02 Hoobastank - "The Reason" It's impossible to make a recap of 2004 music without remembering this song. It might be cheezy but it's definitely one of my favorite ballads of all time. Sadly it was their only hit.		01 Nelly Furtado - "Try" This song touches me in a way only a few songs ever have because I can relate to it so much. You can hear her soul singing to you. I just love it, it's perfect.
