i was wondering what ethnicity mariah carey was she looks caucasian but people say she is african american does anyone know?

Mixed (Black and White). Oddly enough, she doesn't look like it, but she is. Even so, she was much darker when she was younger if you were to look at her baby pics.

Mariah Carey doesn't look like a freakin' whallllllllllllllllllllllllllllllle. No LOL.

She's "triracial." Her mother is white (Irish to be exact). Her father is black & Hispanic (Venezualan to be exact).

And no Jason, MC was rather pale when she was younger, in fact, her Irish traits were always very obvious up until recently. It's also sad that people forget that she is 25% Hispanic seeing how she resembles that race more than the other two lately.
