That's what the N Koreans claimed and it probably was part of it, but the real reasoning was to test out launching a long range missile and flexing their muscle at the rest of the world to show they have power
Lord...the first thing the North Koreans should have made the news for should have been to report the end of its communist reign, not a broken rocket that died out in two secs
Also, the flame bait in here I guess some stan bases aren't interested in North Korean rockets
Messy North Korea needs to get their act together. Their record label needs ot keep them on check or this era is gonna turn out to be their biggest flop since the Cold War.
