In a press release about MGM expanding its worldwide television distribution operation, the studio has announced that the MGM Worldwide Television Distribution Group will launch a worldwide sales campaign for the following sequels:
"Legally Blonde 3"
"Cutting Edge 3" -- The romantic drama about the quest for victory among professional ice skaters.
"Into the Blue 2" -- A new and exciting installment based on the action thriller about aspiring treasure hunters.
"WarGames 2" -- Scheduled to begin shooting in Montreal in November, the thrilling story of what happens when top officials try to dismantle the famous computer.
"Species 4" -- The fourth installment of the Species franchise continues in Mexico, where new experiments with DNA bring horrific results. An MGM/360 Production, Frank Mancuso, Jr. will oversee production beginning in October on "Species 4". Mancuso has served as the producer or executive producer on the previous "Species" movies.
Legally Blonde 3 will not star Reese Witherspoon. The MGM Worldwide Television Distribution Group is also handling the international television sales for Casino Royale, the new James Bond movie starring Daniel Craig, and Rocky Balboa, the sixth and final Rocky movie starring Sylvester Stallone.
That's what studios are doing now. Having really bad sequels to movies that don't need one in the first place - and sending them straight to dvd to make money off of stupid people who don't know better.
"Legally Blonde 3" - I think the story for this will involve the main character running for White House Presidency. Depending on who's in it, I might watch it.
"Cutting Edge 3" -- There was a cutting edge 2? '~"
"Into the Blue 2" -- I liked the first one; I'll be catching this one. - (Hopefully Alba will make an appearance in this one. ^__^)
"WarGames 2" -- I'll give this one a chance.
"Species 4" -- I never get into these kind of movies, but I remember being 15/16 and watching the first one. I thought the lady in the film was really hot for one moment until she turned out to be a disgusting alien 20 minutes later. ~ And I found myself vomiting in a toilet. lol.
Meh, I'll catch this if I'm that bored, or if I'm at somebody's house and they're playing it.
Legally Blonde 3 will not star Reese Witherspoon. - Wow, that's a stupid move. The potential to earn $70-100 Million+ for the distributing companies is gone.
I'm confused. This is an inevitable bomb from "Legally Blonde 3" if Reece Witherspoon is not starring. As much as I liked "Into The Blue"...it bombed...so why would they want a sequel?
