it is here. People use f*g as an insult, or for example when you make a bad shot/pass in bbal, they go "so gay....why are you such a ball hog."
I have quite alot of friends and I prefer not to lose them!

You are overreacting a little I came out to my friends and most of them (with the exception of one or two of them) are they type of people you just described they would use gay as an insult without really thinking and stuff like that when I did actually come out to them it took a week or two (even a month for one of them) for them to come to terms with it. After you do it like Jonny said it's liberating and it does make you feel a lot better than you would keeping it all in. It's also a testament to your friendships to see if your friends really are your true friends. You'll understand this when you do come out.
1. Ask them. It depends on their reaction. Just be careful cause that might put you down their friends list.
2. The gay look doesn't always work.
3. Their gestures but it's more difficult nowadays because men are more metrosexual than ever.
I believe this too...It sounds weird but I feel like the "alpha straights" are just so "straight" that they don't realize that they are like less than 1 percent gay
...in a more simplistic form I believe that there is a internal distribution of straight and gay.

It's just that NO ONE's out in my year
I rather pretend to be straight and get some action than be alone for the next 3 years
I echo those who say Eye Contact. But not in a 'If he looks in your eyes, he's gay.' - it's just a gut instinct, really. For example, when I met my now best friend I looked into his eyes and it was like he immediately screamed 'Gay' at me (not literally, of course, his eyes did the screaming)
I've never seen it on him since though, it was just that first moment of eye contact I saw it. Later on I saw Grindr on his phone, which confirmed it, but yeah, his eyes had already told me. That's only one example, there are a few others too.
I'm fairly sure he doesn't want me, so it wasn't a lust in his eyes, I dunno what it was, but it told me he was gay. I've never had that with a straight guys eyes.
