I don't think JLO would of been around. She got her start of Selena LOL.

Anyways, I think she would be huge in Latin America since they are a very loyal following. She may of survived the 90's with her ballads, but as far as the 00's I think she would of faded in the US. Her music was never American pop heavy.

Plus she wasn't sexy to me. She couldn't sell sex as well as JLO or Shakira.

and i wouldnt say Jlo would never happen if she didnt do Selena, she's already filmed a movie with Robin Williams and another one with Jack Nichoison, both small roles but she was rising slowly.

Some of the English songs she recorded sounded really outdated though. "I'm Getting Used to You" sounds like something Madonna would have recorded in 1985.

Umm...if Selena was still alive, Jennifer wouldn't have done the Selena movie, which inspired her to become a singer in the first place.
