While I have a minute, I want to plug, what should be, an incredible solo debut from the infectious lead vocalist of Metric; the brilliant Ms. Emily Haines.
She also does some work for Broken Social Scene, whose sound is more comparable to this solo disc, exemplified in the two singles I've heard so far; "The Lottery" and "Our Hell" (both amazing, by the way). Emily simply describes the record as 'quiet'.
It's nothing like Metric, but that's actually not a bad thing.
