Back in March I posted an article titled ‘The Pros & Cons of Britney Joining the X Factor‘ when rumors first surfaced that the Princess of Pop would be filling the void left by Nicole Scherzinger as a judge on TV’s worst reality talent show. The rumors are now no more, with E! Online confirming that Godney has inked a $15 million dollar deal to judge on the show’s sophomore season, eclipsing Jennifer Lopez as the highest-paid judge on reality TV.
So, you know that this means that we all have to watch this ****** show now, right? It’s ****ing Britney! Even if she just sits at the judges panel staring blankly off into space while Simon Cowell waves his hand in front of her face and yells, “Britney? Britney! Can you hear me, Britney?“, it’d still make for better TV than <insert top rated show here>.
If you’re a Britney stan (otherwise known as a Brit Bot) you’ll watch to see her slay, if you’re a hater you’ll watch to see her **** up, if you’re a casual Britney observer you’ll watch out of curiosity, and if you have zero interest in the pop culture icon known as Britney Spears then you’re not in X Factor’s demographic anyway, so your opinion doesn’t count.
This could be a total trainwreck, or something that’s really good for Britney. Either way, I’ll be watching.
Damn you Simon and your glitzy celebrity judges! You knew my one weakness, didn’t you? DIDN’T YOU?!
