Katy Perry interviewed with Billboard this past week and confirmed a remix of Peacock with LMFAO is set for a summer release as Teenage's Dream's 8th single.

"I've wanted it to be a single for the longest time, and now I've finally convinced Capitol to finally do it. It was originally meant to be the 4th single", said Katy after an intriguing interview held last Friday night. The spicy track from her original "Teenage Dream" album already hit #1 on the Dance Charts back in 2010 and has since been certified gold in the United States alone.
"I wanted to breath new life into Peacock so I asked LMFAO to record a few verses to really get the party started, luckily they approved." Perry also mentioned the track wasn't finished in time to make it on "Confection", as intended, to make a complete 20 tracks.
"Originally, Dressin' Up was intended to be the summer smash of 2012, but Peacock just needed a release, and if it goes #1, I can say I've broken the King of Pop's legendary record with Billboard."
I see what they're doing. To get around the rule, they're releasing another song from the original Teenage Dream. Anyway, "Peacock" is one of the best songs on the album and I'm glad that it's getting a release, even if it's under these circumstances.
