Yes, today, they're still known, obviously. But clearly they've been taken over by new forces (eg Rihanna, Katy Perry). Yes, I KNOW that some of them still have some hits - eg Till The World Ends, Moves Like Jagger, Single Ladies, Waka Waka, but are they as "EVERYWHERE" as they used to be?

So my question is... are they over? Have they been left behind in another era that was 10 years ago?

I mean over as in NEVER SEEING ENORMOUS SUCCESS AGAIN, not dropping from label

Bey and Kelly are still just as relevant if not more. Britney is fading but still popular. Pink is on a break anyway so she doesn't count for this conversation. Shakira is suffering in America, let's just keep it cute there...Xtina, we'll have to see next era but it isn't looking great. And Avril Lavigne is the perfect representation of what not to end up like.

All of them peaked awhile ago, but I see them still making music and having success even if it's just a small amount.

These girls can still be as relevant as the new artists (Adele, Rihanna, Katy, Kesha) but they may have a hard time because their music might not be as fresh as the new ones so the best thing they can do is reinvent their music and their style
