I swear, police think they are all mighty like they don't drink ever. Amanda Bynes is a good girl, but because you have the higher power, why not abuse it. If I was a cop, I would've just fined her and took her license away. There's no need for jail time unless your seriously messed up in the head and a threat to the world.

WTF? Imagine if everyone was free to drive around drunk. Do you know how many lives could be lost? Imagine losing someone you love because a loser got behind the wheel drunk. And DUI's don't result in a lot of jailtime, in most cases it's a slap on the wrist. And I doubt cops try to get all background information before they arrest drunkdrivers.

Let's be true. Only Hilary Duff still didn't make any big mistakes. We had Britney, Lindsay, Vanessa, Demi, Miley and now Amanda. Oh, God.

I don't think some of you are grasping the fact that drinking and DRIVING is bad. Just because she's a nice person doesn't change that she made a bad decision to drive. I don't know how strict the US drinking and driving laws are, but here in Canada (or at least BC) one drink and you could blow over and have your car impounded. If you blow way past the legal limit or say you want a lawyer your brought back to the jail where you'll stay until more alcohol blood level tests are done/over night. The fact that she crashed into a police car doesn't help her case.. she probably deserved the night in jail.
