Edit: Wow I read it all and i'm really happy about the outcome. I'm grateful that she at least understood what he was trying to convey because I know some Christian parents wouldn't. But they're right it is about love and not about what you do.

good read...it's a shame people still have that state of mind but I don't think it will ever go away sadly.

I'm happy the mother "saw the light" though. I'm keep a strong faith but I'm gay and I accept and love PEOPLE...ok i can see this post turning into a rant so I'll just leave it at that

Though it's a bit disappointing that it needs to go to a point wherein one discovers that her child is gay to have a positive outlook on the gay community. Smh.

I'm happy for him and his family. You don't see that too often. There are so many mothers like that, only they're opinion is unwavering

It sucks that she didn't have that attitude from the beginning, but she does now and, not only is she accepting of her son, she's making moves to fight homophobia in her community. Props to her
