Album+Ticket. Like seriously, if you're buying a concert ticket, you probably own the CD already. Considering other artists make mixtapes available for free, and others let you pay what you want for an album, I don't see .99 being tacky at all. It's called reaching a broad audience.

It's tacky when it's used by you and your label to sell more copies. Now if they had nothing to do with it, it wouldn't be tacky, but they did it specifically to boost sales.

The $0.99 deal was not done at GaGa's consent I believe. So I don't think it should be held against her. She still would've had the third (???) bestselling album of 2011.

Madonna's deal isn't tacky, it's smart business. Congrats to her & Interscope for being creative in their business & simultaneously getting her music out to the public. Others should take note.
