The Emancipation of MiMi was the best selling album of 2005 and its gone 6x platinum unlike Mary J. Blige who's double platinum. Mary has a long way to go to best the sales of Alicia's first two albums and Mariah's latest.

Needed to be said but Mariah isn't really a R&B singer. She's classified as that(lately) but that doesn't mean anything. She's become a pop artist w/ R&B undertones that still sticks to her old adult contemporary style. She's always been in between. Mary J Blige is what R&B music is supposed to sound like.
