I am kind of curious on what other people do.
For my iPod, if I can't stop listening to a song I will put it on my iPod and have it stuck on repeat until I get sick of it.
If I'm listening to CDs or albums, I listen to the whole thing through and don't skip. Sometimes I put the album on shuffle.
I almost always listen to my ipod. I'm super anal about songs' play counts and making sure they all get tracked I treat my Top 25 Most Played playlist like BBH100 It's weird, I know...
When I want to be surprised I put all songs on repeat. Sometimes I want to hear an album all the way through. Other times I skip tracks I don't care for on the album. I also have different playlists I play through on random depending on my mood.
I don't really have a specific way I listen to my music all the time
I made a playlist of my ~300 favorite songs that I have synced to my iPod, and when I'm listening to music outside of my house I usually just put it on shuffle and skip whatever I don't feel like listening to. On my computer I generally listen to full albums or just seek out whatever I want to hear at that moment.
And I'm also OCD about play counts, so everything has to be counted as the exact number of times I actually listened to it. That's one of the reasons I didn't like iTunes Match.

Oh god, we are exactly the same. I actually named the playlist of the 100 most played songs on my iPod "The Hot 100:
I make playlists on my ipod, for example i have playlists from 2000-2012, which each one has all the number one singles from that year. I have a Katy Perry playlist, Rihanna, Adele, etc... And then i have ones of my favorite songs at the time and i have a 5 different playlist i workout to
not much anymore I listen to my ipod if i cant sleep or if im on a long drive with mum or on an airplain, and with cd's maybe in my car or in my room if im home alone.

For my iPod, I'll usually have a "current" playlist where I just put songs on there that I'm listening to a lot + then deleting them when I usually skip them in the playlist. Or if it's a long time where I listen to my iPod I'll probably listen to a different playlist like "relaxing music" or just shuffle all of the songs.
With CDs I usually listen to them all the way through, but I don't listen to physical CDs if that's what you mean.
I use my Nokia N8 smartphone as my main music player. Have some couple of playlists of some artists and a playlist of my top 40 favorite songs. I don't listen to them on full. I skip thee tracks that I've already grown tired of listening. Sometimes I do shuffle playback. My phone has an FM Transmitter. Sometimes I turn it on and the audio is automatically broadcast to an FM radio. On my PC, I use Zune and WMP.
Exactly the same, I used to overplayed the song in my iPod (example HIAM, Judas and previous ones) and the cd's I tendo to play it in full maybe skip one or 2 songs.
