I'm going to buy it just to support her. But I'm sure it's not going to make any difference.

I must admit -- there are times I really crack up reading this board!
I don't know what makes some of you think that Janet will do so badly on the charts. I must say that you are in for a big disappointment. Her sales will do very well and she may surpass what critics predict. Why?

(1) She has been getting a bad rap ever since the SB incident. Let's be real. She is not even shown on MTV, VH1 but only on BET. People will buy because of the diverse tracks on the CD and she is JAN!

(2) The promotion will be crazy starting in September. If people were not interested in her, then her US weekly cover would not have been the #1 best seller in US weekly history or her VIBE cover would not have given VIBE magazine a 300% spike in sales.

(3) Watch out for her tour. I like Mariah Carey and feel that she has been a legendary artist. But, her tours are not as memorable. Janet's tours always help her in record sales.

So, to answer the question -- I will be buying. And to add my two cents, she will do way better than predicted on this board!

Rhythm Nation 1814, Janet and The Velvet Rope are all I need (and of course All Nite - Don't Stop). But hey, you never know.

if her music is like the quality of "enjoy" (the beginning of enjoy is so terrible) "so excited" and "call on me", i will so download it.

I bought Damita Jo and I loved it. I was disappointed that the album didn't do so well. I'm definitely lovin' Call on me and SO Excited. so I think the answer is yes, I am buying 20 Y.O.
