Any of you out there enjoy writing stories? Is becoming a writer/author something you dream of?
I'd thought I'd make a thread where we could give each other feedback, share stories/scripts/ideas, and lend some support.
This isn't the place to mock or attack anyone for spelling, grammar issues or ideas they have you don't like. Also keep your Twilight and Taylor Lautner fan fictions to yourself.
I'm a passionate writer. But that's not something that I'd share with anyone. I write for myself.
I've been working on this story for quite a while it really helps me cope out with stress.

That's how it started for me, something help ease my mind. But I've grown to really enjoy it so I figure I might as well pursue a career out of it.
Well why not? If you're good at it and you like it I say go for it.
Have you gotten good reviews for your work so far?
My friends have said good things, but thats about it. It's a tough business to break into. I've sent off one of my scripts to a few production companies, and only one of them responded. They weren't looking to produce a horror movie. But I'm not ready to give up yet.
I write! I wrote a few historical fiction short stories that won state-wide competitions. I'm casually writing a novel that will most likely never see the light of day.
I also write poetry when I can't sleep. It's either brilliant or the insipid ramblings of an insomniac; the line between the two seems pretty thin.
I have it in me, but my parents have always placed a heavy emphasis on math and science for me. I have too many ideas to let it all go to waste though. I feel like the longer I wait to start writing, the harder it becomes to be creative with it.

Great thread idea. I do sports (mostly tennis right now) writing but have recently started thinking about writing a novel. I've got a few ideas, but I'm not even sure if it will be fiction or non.
