Some worse then others but it seemed like a while there labels were getting good at keeping the lid on albums but the past week or so has been huge for big albums leaking. There hasn't been a period where so many big pop albums are released at one time like this in a while so you know exec's are pretty mad out there...

Who still intends to buy? Has a leak convinced you to buy?

No. I already knew that I was or wasn't buying. Justin and Christina always get my money and that's it. It was the same in 02-03.
They leak because of the listening parties. & because Paris and Jessica put thier albums online.

I have Christina's entire album downloaded, and I'll probably buy it too. The rest I really don't care about.

Leaks usually don't change my opinion. I'm buying Justin's, Christina's and Jessica's for sure, like I was going to before even listening them.
I never intended to buy Paris' or Outkast's albums, so... I'm not sure about Beyoncé's album though. I'm more likely to not buy it, but I don't know.

Album leaks are always an inside job. That's why it leaks like two weeks b4 the release because for the big albums earlier than that labels can trace who did it.

good. looks like even fefe dobson's album has leaked. its just what happens, i don't know why its such a surprise. cd suck these days. ipods and computer music<3

The quality of music on CDs lately is much better than when the industry peaked in 1999 & 2000. Alot of fillerific albums were doing extremely well. 2006 has offerred some great albums. MOST Artists today don't deserve these lackluster sales. It's unfortunate. I'm told over and over again that we're entering the digital era. ********! I don't want to buy something that I cannot physically possess. The current events in the industry rub me the wrong way.

I see what you're saying Brian, but I feel the opposite. The music industry has went down from the 1999-2002ish era. A lot of great artists like Christina, Justin, Jessica, Beyonce, Janet, are releasing albums this year, which is great, but overall a lot of this stuff on the radio is crap. I'll buy my favorite artists CDs, but that's really all.

Of the cds mentioned on top, I'm not gonna get any of them at all (except maybe for Jessica).

But I'm with both of you here. Sure, songs have been better this year than past years, but the same way for bad songs. Unfortunately, there have been way more bad songs released in 2006 (almost all rap except for Ridin and What You Know, Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, Fergie, Chris Brown, partially Justin) I mean these artists I mentioned do not deserve any of the success and should be downgraded to maybe indie status

Where's Britney when you need her the most? Why is Indie Music better in 2006 than Mainstream? Someone explain this to me?

The only leak I'm waitin for is Janet's cd cuz I'm not interested in her at all and I'm really tryin. I would neva buy Paris or Jessica albums. But Justin, Christina and Beyonce albums were gon be bought. Outkast depended on if I like the songs or not. If you're interested in an artist but not sure if their will be good then leaks are good. But if you hear the album and don't wanna buy it then leaks are bad.

Yerp , agreed with Houston.. If the album leaked and u dont like it then its definitely BAD ! Anyway I only buy Bee album , maybe Justin too... The other album I DOWNLOAD only but if I like it of course I'll buy it

Next year will be a lot better. Mariah, Kelly and Britney are releasing their albums and sales will be up a ton. Leaking will become the norm though
