Prince is really something else I don't understand why he took all of his catalog off of YouTube, and hardly clears any of his music for sampling, or for tv shows like American Idol. Do you know how many contestants could soar with his songs (like Deandre Brackensick). He also took most of his songs off of iTunes. Somehow his music is on Spotify (don't know how that happened). Does anyone know why Prince is so protective over his music?
I listen to radio stations that play 80s and 90s and I always hear his 80s hits. but yeah its annoying trying to find his songs on youtube for other people to hear. How is he supposed to get new fans? My friend got me into him.
He's stuck in the past, where the only way you could listen to music was buying buying the CD or hearing it on the radio. Which is also exactly the reason he hasn't had a hit since 1994.
He is part of the same generation as Madonna, Kate Bush and the late Michael Jackson, yet he misses the point about the internet unlike his peers.
