Basically, FLAC files are like MP3s but are perfect quality. They are EXACTLY the same quality as a CD, and are how the artist intended the music to be heard.
Next best thing is 320 kbps MP3 with Joint Stereo and LAME-encoding. These are the best quality MP3 files you can get, and are pretty damn close to being perfect quality.
Then you get iTunes versions. In comparison to the above two, they are ****. A lot of quieter sounds are glossed over so the file size is smaller. Not good.
Basically the version of PF:RR that leaked earlier this week was already better quality that the iTunes version, so people who are deleting their leaked versions for the iTunes rip are losing quality. The iTunes versions of the dance tracks won't have as much oomph to them.
