Katy Perry turned into a high-flying, medieval warrior for her high-energy performance at the 2012 Kids’ Choice Awards tonight (March 31). She donned a multi-colored side ponytail while flying and dancing onstage to her latest single, “Part Of Me.”
Katy’s KCA 2012 performance got it’s colorful and theatrical appearance courtesy of its creative director, Laurieann Gibson. Laurieann famously worked with Lady GaGa on her Monster Ball tour and most recently, worked with Nicki Minaj on her American Idol performance just last week.
After the performance, Katy was presented with the award for “favorite voice in an animated movie” for her voice over work on “The Smurfs.” She thanked her fans and said she won because she “never grew up.”
“Part Of Me” is pulled from Katy Perry’s repackaged second album, “Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection.” The re-released set is in stores and available at online retailers now. Watch the performance below.
