From what I listened to, "The Greatest Thing" doesn't sound like good comeback material. Also, given GaGa's track record lately they probably figured it wasn't the shoo-in they were hoping it would be.

Two of the five singles tanked, let's be honest here. And both of their accompanying videos had big budgets. Their was the debacle regarding TEOG's video too. "You and I" didn't have much impact outside the U.S. and Australia either.

Mmm, well... The whole era was a mess. For a six week number one, even the lead single didn't do all that well. Peaked too soon.
