"Britney is not dubstep!", "Kelly Clarkson is not rock!", "Beyonce is not R&B!", "BJork is not getting any more sales, Owl!".
I mean, you are on a pop forum, you know full well when entering a thread you are NOT in for real (for example) dubstep, not to mention how dumb you would have to be when the thread title is something like "Dubstep Breakdown: Britney VS Madonna". It doesn't make you cool, it makes you look like a snob.
PS Sorry VoiceXtina, you know I love you.

Dubstep influenced=/=Dubstep
It's just an electro song with a dubstep breakdown. (HIAM)
But nobody said Britney was dubstep

You completely missed the point. No, it isn't "real" dubstep, it's pop music and it's as close as it gets, when people mention dubstep when referring to Britney or Rihanna, of course they know it's not "real" dubstep, pointing it out makes you look moronic. Is that a word? It should be. I like it.
I love this gif.

One needs only to look at my signature to know that you should never give the majority of posters here that much credit.

No. But Stand Your Ground is full of delusion though, I'm talking about the polls and discussion threads like the ones I quoted.

When people say "BRITNEY IS THE QUEEN OF DUBSTEP OMG" THAT makes you look stupid. Why would you set yourself up like that when you could have easily just said "Britney made it popular to make a pop song with elements of mainstream dubstep"? People get your point and you don't come across as stupid. I agree that some people take it to far, but the blame isn't just on the posters.
and me too

I don't get your point. I think everybody knows that all these songs are just using some light dubstep breakdowns. I know dubstep. I know Skrillex and yes, the music they do are really different from the breakdowns we here from the mainstream songs. Real dubstep songs like Skrillex, Nero and etc.. have hard breakdowns or what they call "filthy". It is actually, but in the dubstep world, it is considered trash.
and yes, moronic is a word.
I love this too.

Visiting youtube pages of certain artists led me to the discovery of that term, it is an odd one.
Well actually that's basically it. Maybe I misunderstood your first post. But yeah, everyone (bar the delusionals) know what dubstep is, it just bugs me when people feel the need to point it out, it makes them look like such snobs.

Right?
From what I've seen most serious dubstep stans consider Skrillex an embarrassment.

That's how you know ATRL posters don't know **** about ****, and should quit with the snobbery.
Skrillex is the biggest joke going in dance music today. Nobody who's really into the scene pays him mind. I mean, at least bring me some Joy Orbison references if you want to condescend to me!

Kelly Clarkson is not rock though. She is pop-rock.
