lol, yeah, it's true. I'm not just saying Utada, as she is my favorite, but literally, she is the most influential and best seling artist in Japan, closely followed by Ayumi Hamasaki. BoA has been around since roughly 2000 and is a HUGE star in both Japan and Korea, something that Utada and Ayumi has not yet reached (she is working on China as of this point, which would just seal the deal). Also, while my mother and cousin was traveling through Asia this summer, specifically in Vietnam, it was quite surprising, as they reported that BoA CDs were more plentiful than Utada and more people recognized BoA as well.

BoA is a Britney copycat. She has one song where she did EVERY EXACT move from Britney's DWAD "Anticipating" performance.

I can see why people compare Britney and BoA but please keep in mind that Britney is not the first female who attempts to sing or lipsyncs while she dances. So the choreography to one of BoA's songs is the same as Britney's. Great. Britney took Bobby Brown's "My Prerogative". It happens.

As far as the dancing goes, BoA's choreography is more complicated and impressive than Britney's. Hell, I just watched some of Amuro Namie's Space of Hip-Pop Tour and her dancing skills are also above Britney's IMO.

But yeah, Asian Britney Spears=Koda Kumi.
