It depends on your definition of 'big' because she had a strong following in the urban crowd before she even released an album. Just because she doesn't have as many as overzealous fans as x pop star doesn't mean that she doesn't have a 'big' fanbase. Rappers tend to have big fanbases or at least devoted ones.
